No doubt about it, the Kia Soul is popular. It is the brand's second biggest seller in North America, with over 70,000 driven off dealer lots so far this year. The hip car also gets high marks for the inventive advertising around it.

That said, the Soul has been in its current form since 2009. Spy shots reveal a potential refresh for the 2014 model year, with the boxy Soul getting some of the dramatic design cues that have become standard in much-loved new editions of the Optima and the forthcoming Forte.
