Yesterday, Kevin Garnett hit Ray Allen with a verbal jab when the question of whether the two guys talk to one another anymore was brought up. "I don't have Ray's number anymore," Garnett said. "I'm not trying to communicate. I'm just being honest with everybody in here. It's just what it is." You see, throughout the summer, KG tried to get Allen to stay with him in Boston but Ray went in a different direction and signed with the Miami Heat. In response to KG's comments, Allen went for the passive response, stating:

"That's a shame. "I'm a good person to talk to on the phone... I've been in weird trade situations the last few years. You always felt you had one foot in and one foot out, so I can't worry about it."

Everything is falling nicely into place for the day when these two teams open the season against one another on October 30th. You have it already marked down in your calendar, right?
