The Mets 2012 season has turned into a complete disaster. In fact, things have gotten so bad at this point that you can scoop up a couple tix to a Mets game for just a few dollars (word to the wise: Don't take the Mets up on their offer—didn't you see that awful game last night?!). And, things are about to get a whole lot worse for Mets fans soon.

According to Newsday's Neil Best, the Mets have somehow convinced their former star/current broadcaster Keith Hernandez to…well, just read Best's Twitter report for yourself. We're too broken up about it to even say it.

Not the 'stache, Keith! We know it's for charity, but anything but the 'stache! Sigh. Click through the thumbs to see some shots of Hernandez and his classic facial hair. We really can't believe it's come to this for the Mets.
