If you thought the injury that Steve Blake suffered recently was ridiculous, just wait until you hear about what Texas Rangers slugger Josh Hamilton has been dealing with lately.

Hamilton—who has made headlines in the past because of his struggles with substance abuse—has been having a hard time focusing. But, we're not talking about his mental awareness here. We're talking about the fact that he's literally been unable to focus his eyes properly for the last week or so.

So, what's been the issue? Well, he returned to the Rangers lineup last night after being diagnosed with ocular keratitis, which is a drying of the cornea. And, what caused the ailment? According to Hamilton, it was due to the fact that he's been drinking too many energy drinks and taking in too much caffeine everyday.

"I was loading up on caffeine," he said last night, "and I'm out there in the bright lights. I can't control my eyes. They are stuck."

Wow, weird. And, Hamilton knows it.

"It's me we're talking about here," he continued. "Guys, it's me—it's Josh. It's going to be something weird."

You can say that again. Steve Blake: You're officially off the hook. This is now the weirdest sports injury we've heard about this week.
