When the New York Giants drafted Jason Pierre-Paul with the 15th pick in the 2010 NFL Draft, a lot of analysts saw him as a risky selection. Just two years later, it looks like he might turn out to be the best defensive lineman in the entire league soon. So, just how good could he end up being? Well, according to his teammate Mathias Kiwanuka, he might break the NFL's single-season sackrecord one day and do the unthinkable by recording 30 sacks in a single season.
"A 30-sack guy?" Kiwanuka said yesterday when asked about Pierre-Paul. "He could be. Absolutely. He definitely has the potential to be one of the best ever. There's so much that goes into it that's out of his control, so you don't want to jinx him or anything like that. But, if the kid keeps working and God's on his side and he stays healthy, we expect to see great things out of him."
"Great things" is one thing. But, 30 sacks is another. If he's gonna do it, he'll need, like, three or four tonight against Tony Romo tonight to get off to a good enough start. So, you down with JPP?
