BMW is stepping into a new world with its new Concept Active Tourer, set to debut at the Paris Auto Show. The Tourer is a front-wheel-drive plug-in hybrid that runs on a TwinPower Turbo 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine, electric motor, and lithium-ion battery. The concept, which has no current production plans, can only run up to 19 miles purely on electric power, but is said to get up to 94 mpg.
