Taking its name from the omnipresent bicycle taxis in Africa, the aluminum Boda Boda Cargo Cruiser, weighing in at 35 pounds, features an 8mm thick, bamboo rear rack that doubles as a seat with a bamboo foot rest and handle for carrying up and down stairs. With an SRAM X-3, 8-speed drivetrain the Boda Boda comes at a great price of $999 and is available in an Apple Green, step-over version for taller riders, and a White, step-thru version for shorter riders.
The bike is made even more convenient with the addition of accessories, including a double kickstand, baguette bags and baby carrier that straps directly onto the rear rack. Keep an eye out for an electric version of the Boda Boda due for release later this summer with a price of $2697.
