You know what would be really irritating? It would be really irritating to have a car as awesome as the Ford Mustang Boss 302 and have it wheezing around a race track with an overheating engine because of a tiny restrictor plate. THis is whay all of the drivers of lovely Boss 302s parked their cars in the pits for the Mid-Ohio race yesterday.
The Mustang teams are arguing that the SCCA's restrictor plates do too much to harm their cars, while leaving them no competitive advantages. The plate is intended to even the playing field, and the Mustang drivers say that that is all they want it do do, but it is currently making their cars "pretty much obsolete."
