After a stellar 2011 college football season that saw him finish as a finalist for the 2011 Heisman Trophy award, LSU cornerback Tyrann "Honey Badger" Mathieu had high hopes for the 2012 season. But, as it turns out, the cornerback probably isn't going to be able to repeat the success he had last season. LSU head coach Les Miles just announced that Mathieu has been kicked off the LSU team for violating school and team rules.

He wouldn't specify why Mathieu won't be back with the Tigers this season. But, he did pretty much shut down any talk about Mathieu making a comeback with the team by revealing that he thinks Mathieu will probably transfer to a new school soon.

Damn. Let's hope this isn't the last time we've seen the Honey Badger take the field for a college football game.
