For the better part of the last month, we've spent way too much time being forced to think about one question: 1992 Dream Team—or 2012 Olympic basketball team? It's gotten so out of hand at certain points that we've lost sight of the fact that—helllllllo!—we're all on the same side here. So, it was nice to hear a couple guys from the original Dream Team come out and show the current team some love after their 83-point romping of Team Nigeria last night (for the record, the Dream Team's biggest margin of victory was 79 points, but we digress…). First up was Magic Johnson.

"I want to congratulate the guys on their continued dominance in London," he told ESPN.com earlier today. "This is starting to look a lot like our 1992 Dream Team. I look forward to watching them continue to drive for that gold medal and bring it home for the USA."

After Magic spoke, Charles Barkley also chimed in by providing a quote that only he could when discussing the 83-point victory. "That's probably how many points they'd beat the '92 team by," he said, "if we played today."

Ha! Classic Charles. So, are we finally over the '92 vs. '12 debate? Eh, we doubt it. But, at least it sounds like we're all playing for the same team now. Let's try and keep it that way.
