Toyota seeks to rival the Volkswagen Golf with a newly redesigned version of the Auris. With improved looks (important) and full range of drivetrains, the new Auris is instantly more appealing than its predecessor. It is longer and lower (actually the lowest car in the class) than previous models too. Look for more information after the public debut at the Paris motor show next month. [Autocar]
