For the first time in more than a century, golf will be an official sport at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Brazil. And, guess who already wants in? Tiger Woods. Although the '16 Olympics are still four years away, TW is already talking about trying to win a gold medal.

"If I get in, it would be great," he said at a press conference for the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational. "I don't know how it's going to be scheduling wise. We have seven big events right now in this stretch, and we're adding an eighth. It's going to be a very, very busy summer for us as golfers. But, it's also the Olympics, and it is a very big event and something that we haven't historically been involved in. It's always a first to be involved in something to that magnitude, and if I make it, that would be great."

We know what all of you tied to your desks this summer are thinking. A ninth golf tournament to play? UGH! But, in all seriousness, Tiger has to golf in the 2016 Olympics. After golf's long Olympic hiatus, it just wouldn't be right if he didn't.
