The summer of 2012 has been a wild one in the sports world. The 2012 London Games dominated most of the headlines with the likes of Gabby Douglas, Michael Phelps and Usain Bolt all making history. Lance Armstrong was stripped of all seven Tour de France titles and Penn State narrowly escaped the death penalty. Don't forget about the wild NBA lockout-shortened season which ended with LeBron James finally being crowned king.

The Major League Baseball story lines have been just as bi-polar. The Los Angeles Dodgers added Adrian Gonzalez and Josh Beckett to an already stacked lineup, a couple players received 50-game suspensions, and Angels rookie CF Mike Trout is already having one of the best seasons ever—think about that. And after you ponder Trout's awesomeness, check out the 10 Biggest Sports Stories of Summer 2012.
