The City Council of Los Angeles has recently voted to impose a few new regulations and fines for what they've deemed “unsafe” skateboarding. Included in the regulations are that skaters must ride upright, maintain speeds that will not cause harm to themselves or others, obey all traffic signs, and no skitching or crossing intersections at more than 10 mph. Violations of these new regulations will draw fines of $250 for each citation.
