Motion-Detecting Helmet Light System on KickStarter

Another excellent KickStarter project geared toward cyclists, this helmet lights turn signals with a turn of your head.

KickStarter is the launch pad for some of the most exciting products we've seen for cyclists, and this latest project called Bike Luminance is definitely one of the cooler ones. Using a motion sensor installed in a helmet, the project hopes to bring a solution to the the problem of low visibility without having to use your hands, much like the LumaHelm we saw a while back. With just the slightest turn, the helmet signals whether it's wearer will be turning left or right or coming to a stop.

It's still in a very early stage, as you can see in the images above, but watch the video below to get a better idea of the vision behind the product and show support to help get it off the ground on their KickStarter page.
