"They love you then they hate you then they love you again." That line may be the best way to describe a person's feelings towards soccer. When played at its best, the sport can be a beautiful thing but when you take into account all the overly dramatic flops, people can learn to hate the game altogether.

Take this match between Fortuna Dusseldorf and Benfica, for example. After referee Christian Fischer called a foul on Luisao of Benfica, the defender argued with the ref and nudged him. However, that contact caused Fischer to take a dramatic dive and remain motionless on the ground. The match was eventually cancelled.

Thanks to early stoppage in play, we're assuming the referee made it to that dinner he had planned on time.
