Kirk Urso, a 22-year-old midfielder for the Columbus Crew in the MLS, died this morning at a hospital in Columbus. No cause of death has been announced.

Urso was in his rookie season in the MLS, and won a national title playing for the University of North Carolina last year. He'd fought injuries during his first season, and was not with the team yesterday for their game in Washington D.C. against D.C. United.
