On Monday morning, the NCAA announced the punishments for Penn State following the Sandusky scandal. The major penalties were a $60 million fine and a four-year bowl ban. Wins were also vacated dating back to 1998 and Joe Paterno went from being the all-time leader in coaching in the FBS division all the way down to fifth.

Much like when the Freeh Report was release earlier this month, Twitter reacted to the news with a wide range of opinions. Some continued to defend Paterno's legacy and impact on Penn State, while others continued to condemn the entire program and college. As always, the Twitter-world is an entertaining way to gauge the public's response to the day's biggest news.
