The side of a road in Goliad, Tex. was the scene of an awful car crash last night, as 13 people died and 10 others were injured. All 23 people were riding in a white 2000 Ford F-250, some in the cab, some in the bed, when the truck reportedly blew a tire, lost control and struck a tree. Two of the people killed were children.

"This is the most people I've seen in any passenger vehicle, and I've been an officer for 38 years," spokesman for the Texas Department of Public Safety Gerald Bryant said.

There is an investigation into whether or not the people being transported were illegals who had crossed the border.
