Forbes has tapped the spirit of summer and ranked the 10 hottest convertables of the year. There are few surprises on the list, which includes the 2012 Porsche Boxster S, 2013 Mercedes-Benz SL550, 2012 Ferrari 458 Spider, 2012 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Roadster, 2012 Aston Martin V8 Vantage Roadster, 2012 Audi R8 GT Spyder, 2012 Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Spyder, 2013 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Convertible, and the 2012 Bentley Continental GTC. However, the nod given to the BMW i8 Concept Spyder (an honorary top 10 member) suggests an eye to the future.
