Inspired by the Tuskegee Airmen, the Red Tails Edition Mustang GT is a product of Ford Engineering and Design. The unique paint scheme is influenced by the aircraft flown by the squadron, with polished-aluminum accented by Race Red and School Bus Yellow. The car also features markings from the Airmen and their 332nd Fighter Group. Technical details also follow the core inspiration. For example, the side-exit exhaust follows from the V-12 that propels a P-51 lane.
