Ben Gordon earned his big money contract by lighting up the Celtics in the 2009 playoffs with the Bulls. Joe Dumars, ever the wise spender and decision maker, broke open his checkbook for a sixth man who doesn’t do anything outside of scoring. The contract is so bad the Pistons gave the Bobcats a first-round pick just to take him off their hands. Surprisingly, Gordon’s salary actually helps Charlotte because it brings them closer to the salary cap floor under cheapskate owner Michael Jordan.
