The Clippers have long made it a routine to overpay anybody and everybody, and Butler is no exception. After Blake Griffin had a terrific rookie season, the Clippers decided to give $8 million per year to a washed-up small forward who doesn’t spread the floor well for Blake Griffin’s drives. Poor cap management like this might be part of why Chris Paul hasn’t signed a contract extension with the franchise yet.
