The plan for America's first high-speed bullet train has finally been approved. Don't get excited, though. You won't actually be able to experience one of these transits until 2018, and that's if everything stays on schedule. The route will take rides from San Francisco to L.A. in about two hours and 40 minutes, reduced from an average drive time of about six to seven hours. The vote for the $68 bilion project was passed on Friday, and the is to lay the first tracks by late 2012 into early 2013.
