Dwight Howard still doesn't want to be a member of the Orlando Magic. After several weeks of failing to successfully trade Howard, Magic officials met today with D12 in the hopes of convincing the center to stay for another season and possibly longer. Once their meeting concluded, Orlando GM Rob Hennigan and assistant GM Scotty Perry realized that Dwight has no intention of signing another contract or even entertaining the idea of an extension with the franchise.

When Dwight demanded to be dealt, the front office assured him that the proceedings would be swift. In their face-to-face meeting, Howard "'pointedly asked' Orlando officials why he hasn't been traded." According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports, the Magic are looking for "the kind of knockout package Denver received for [Carmelo] Anthony. With the time dwindling away and the teams willing to take Howard dissipating, GM Rob Hennigan is left with very few options. One option that remains is Howard ending up with the Houston Rockets. However, Dwight's camp has already warned the Rockets that he would go to the Dallas Mavericks next summer.

In addition, the Magic were hopeful that their new regime could possibly start building a positive relationship with Howard but to no avail. This situation is beyond repair and will remain a Dwightmare until D12 is dealt. Now say that last sentence three times fast.
