Chad Johnson wants you to know that his performance last season with the New England Patriots was just an aberration. Under Bill Belichick, Johnson had only 15 catches, 276 receiving yards and one touchdown. A far cry from the numbers he posted while wearing a Bengals jersey. But what conclusion did the receiver formerly known as Ochocinco come to?

He's at an age where football players start breaking down and their stats follow suit? Nope. Blame Tom Brady for the lack of looks? Wrong again. The answer: The Pats controlled Chad's mouth. “My personality was controlled last year. You didn’t hear me at all last year. Zero. Zilch. When my mouth is running, it forces me to perform. It’s never been vindictive. I never got anybody in trouble."

Following a photo shoot for Zinc Coconut Water, Chad said that he was "going back to my normal ways" and further expanded on his epiphany stating “my normal ways, when I was at my best, when I got fined, look at the production those years. Usually things don’t go right when you try to change the way you do things. I’m back to normal."

And just to give y'all a taste of what's to come, Johnson mentioned that he plans on sending NFL commissioner Roger Goodell a $100,000 check right after the last preseason game to cover all the fines he will receive this upcoming regular season for his excessive touchdown celebrations. Does he have you convinced Dolphins fans and fantasy football owners?
