This is sad. Just three days after he failed to report to training camp due to "personal reasons," Tennessee Titanswide receiver O.J. Murdock was declared dead at a hospital in Tampa, Fla. this morning as the result of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The 25-year-old was found in his car in front of his alma mater Middleton High School in Tampa early this morning shortly after he attempted to commit suicide. He was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. But, he unfortunately died a short time later.

As of now, there's no indication as to why Murdock took his own life. He was scheduled to start his first full season with the Titans this year after missing all of 2011 with a right Achilles injury. R.I.P.
