I think the late Carroll Shelby's quip in this video says it all, "you know that's important: being able to leave one of those Corvettes in the dust at the stop sign."
When a company is making a car with this much power and this much torque, we think it's definitely a good idea to have these sorts of driver aids. A smart driver will be able to use this on a closed course to get to know his car better.
