If you grew up loving basketball in the '80s and '90s, the opening notes of the theme music are enough to trigger some serious memories: The so-corny-it's-funky horn intro to the NBA on CBS in the Reagan years; the swirling prelude before the over-the-top strings for the NBA on NBC in the Clinton decade. The themes meant three things: it's June, it's warm out, and the biggest basketball games of the year are coming on TV.

Fast forward to 2012, and once again it's June, it's warm out, and the biggest basketball games of the year are coming on TV. The NBA Finals kick off tonight, and while Oklahoma City-Miami has the makings of an all-time classic, we've still got time to reminisce over games past. So as you gear up for Game 1 tonight (and ABC's lame, lame presentation of said game), get into the mood with a look at some of the classic intros from the last 30 years.
