Toilet Reading: Esquire Writer Ethers Right-Wing Columnist Who Called Bryce Harper a "Conservative Hero"

Have you seen Bryce Harper play baseball? He can be really, really fun to watch. He crushes the living life out of the ball; he gets plunked on purpose and steals home. He is not, however, a symbol of the resurgence of American conservatism.

And yet, that's the point that the Daily Caller's Mark Judge tried to make in a recent column, equating Jason Hayward's lazy play with liberalism, and Bryce Harper's hustle with the Republican Party. Naturally, Esquire's Charles Pierce dissected it like a frog in a 7th grade science class. Sports and politics don't mix, especially when you don't know what the fuck you're talking about.
