Yesterday, we showed you how Steve McQueen's Ferrari was being rebuilt by hand, but the autoverse wasn't ready to stop with the classic McQueen cars yet. Today we have a Ford GT40 that was first raced by the JWA/Gulf Oil team at Le Mans by Jacky Ickx.
A few years after competing at one of the world's most famous endurance races, it was bought by Solar Productions so that it could be Steve McQueen's car in the film, Le Mans. Since then it has raced in vintage events.
