Not many players on the current roster personified the Red Sox quite like Kevin Youkilis. Over his nine-year career with the BoSox, the man that many knew simply as "Youk" was a hit amongst the team's fanbase and a solid person to have in the lineup, day in and day out. However, this year, his numbers have taken a drastic dip and in a stunning move, Boston has traded Youkilis to the Chicago White Sox for pitching prospect Zach Stewart and utility player Brent Lillibridge.

During today's game against the Atlanta at Fenway Park, Youkilis must've received word of the eventual trade because when the Red Sox pulled him from the game in the 7th inning, it was an emotional scene. Youk tipped his cap and blew kisses to the crowd, while shedding a couple tears in the process. Eventually, BoSox manager Bobby Valentine pushed Youkilis out for a final curtain call in a Boston jersey and that was it for the Cincinnati native. He is now headed to Chicago just like that.
