Some crazy Italians who work under the name of Lazzarini Design have decided to put the engine from a Ferrari 458 Italia into a Fiat 500. The engine will be placed where the rear seats were, just like in a 458, a variety of vents will be added in order to cool the beast, and the body has been widened and lengthened to increase stability and create space for the much, much larger engine.

We sure didn't ask for a 550hp Fiat 500 with a roof scoop and a spoiler that's about the size of Italy, but we think we should have. This thing is crazy in all the right ways.

The company is looking for $550,000 from an investor "for the development of this toy ;)." Yes, the smiley was from Lazzarini as well.
