J.R. Smith Is Suing His Former Chinese Team For $1 Million

Show him the money.

A few months ago, we told you about how J.R. Smithhad been fined more than $1 million by the Chinese Basketball Association's Zhejiang Chouzhou for missing about 80 practices last season during his time with the team. At the time, the team claimed that they'd let him know that they were fining him for every practice that he missed and that he didn't seem to care. "Whatever," they say he told them. "If you're going to take it, then just take it."

Smith must not have realized just how much they were taking, though. After seeing the damages, he just filed a lawsuit with FIBA to try and recoup the $1,078,500 that he was fined by Zhejiang for missing all of those practices. Good luck getting your money back, man. From the sound of things, you could really use it right now.
