A St. Louis motorist was accosted by a carjacker recently, who demanded money and the car. After a few seconds in the car, it became obvious that the carjacker did not know how to operate a car with a manual transmission.
Here's the weird part: the car's owner then offered the criminal a ride, dropped him off where he needed to go, and got a "thank you" from the man who had just tried to steal his car. This is what happens when you mix St. Louis' terrible crime rates with Midwestern hospitality.
