The 20 Best NBA Players of the 2000s

20. Yao Ming

Accomplishments (1999-2000 - 2008-2009): 7x All-Star, All-Rookie, 5x All-NBA
Team(s): Rockets
Stats during the 2000s: 19.1 PPG 9.3 RPG 1.9 BPG
Yao was a problem out there on the court. He was the first of his kind. A 7'6" center that could actually play. Unfortunately, his big body couldn't take the rigors of professional basketball. He was turning into a real star when the injuries bit him. His jumper was automatic and he got better every year. Ming also showed up in the playoffs and was a top-notch center in the league for a couple seasons. If he and Tracy would've stayed healthy, who knows what they could've accomplished. #couldveshouldvewouldve
