10. How Not To eBay

Vehicle: 2010 Honda Other MOTOR CYCLE

Notable Features: This shop has absolutely no clue what it's selling, so why should you trust that it's taking good care of this bike?
Complex Says: Where do we begin? Everyone's an eBay newbie at some point, but it's not that difficult to figure out. For starters, as with Honda automobiles, Honda is one of the most prevalent manufacturers of motorcycles in the world today. Using eBay's handy dropdown menus to locate the model of this bike (which is not, incidentally, “MOTOR CYCLE”) shouldn't be that difficult -- especially since it's a Shadow, not some rare vintage Honda that may not be listed. You don't need to be a motorcycle expert to know that, either; it's WRITTEN ON THE TANK. You can see it in the photos! If that isn't enough to make you wary, the seller lists the transmission as AUTOMATIC. While there are automatic motorcycles (such as the Aprilia Mana), this isn't one. Again, this is something you can see in the pictures. Complex Says: if the seller clearly cares so little about listing an item accurately, they don't care enough to deserve your money.

Complex Says: If Ninety-Eights are your thing, this is a pretty nice example. We really like it because it makes us hear Public Enemy's 1987 classic, ”You're Gonna Get Yours” in our heads. Can't argue with Chuck D -- or, at least, we wouldn't.

Complex Says: It's not uncommon to see a Ferrari, Lamborghini, or Maserati rolling down the street. Exciting, but not one of those things where you automatically upload a shot to Instagram because you can't believe what you're seeing. A Spyker C8 Spyder, however, is sufficiently rare that you might feel compelled to do so -- if you aren't the lucky winner of this auction.

It doesn't matter whether the poster in question was for a Ducati, a Honda, or something else -- this bike gives you that sense of carefree joy, just looking at it. And someone else already went through the trouble of restoring it, so what do you have to lose?

We're not Ferrari experts, though, so you might want to get a second opinion from someone who spends their lives swimming in Ferrari minutiae before you drop your hard-earned cash. If it's the real deal, you'll have yourself a hell of a car. We've always liked yellow Ferraris more, anyway.
