Hennessey Performance is only making five Venom GTs in the 2013 model year, but for Steven Tyler, that wasn't exclusive enough. He had to have it one step better, asking them to make a topless version for him.
"Steven came to us and asked if we could build his Venom GT as a roadster," says John Hennessey, Hennessey Performance chief. "We had to make a few structural changes to our integrated rollcage in order to be able to fit the removable top."
Dropping the top makes this Lotus Exige-based automobile the fastest convertible in the world, powered by a 1,244-horsepower 7.0-litre twin-turbo V8. This animal goes from 0-200 in 15.9 seconds. That's 2.4 seconds faster than the Bugatti Veyron 16.4! What did it cost him? Only $1.1 million, meaning it's also cheaper than the Bugatti.
