Those are not good odds.

Since accurate car theft data has been recorded (1981 to present), over 10% of Corvettes have been stolen, according to a study by the National Insurance Crime Bureau. Just take a second to let that sink in.

Due to technological advancement, cars have been getting harder and harder to steal as well. This means that if one averaged all of the years of corvette production together, the number might be ever worse than 10%.

1984 is the most stolen year. Presumably after the zero 'vette production of 1983, thieves were thrilled to make off with some new metal. Of the 51,547 made in '84, 8,554 of them have been stolen.

If you're rolling in a 'vette and you'd like to keep it, GPS trackers might be in order.
