The Mercedes-Benz 300SL is one of the all time greatest cars in history; it was even our 10th coolest looking car of all time. Mercedes only made 1,500 of these masterpieces, and many of them sell at auction for around $1 Million now.
This of course means that the vast majority of surviving 300SLs out there are never driven, or even touched with ungloved hands, and that's sad. Cars aren't just visual art, they are kinetic art as well. Without moving a car through space one cannot really understand it.
