Larry Bird Ripped the Pacers For Being "Soft" After They Got Blown Out By the Heat Last Night

S-O-F-T!

None

Larry Bird wasn't happy with the way the Pacers played last night against the Heat. And, really, can you blame him? Indiana once held a commanding 2-1 lead in their best-of-7 series against Miami. But, they looked anything but commanding last night when they got blown out 115-83 in Game 5 to fall behind 3-2 in the series. Bird didn't beat around the bush when he was asked how he felt about his team's performance, either. In fact, he came right out and called them the one thing that no athlete out there ever wants to be called.

"I can't believe my team went soft," he said. "S-O-F-T. I'm disappointed. I never thought it would happen."

Ouch. That has to hurt. But, hey, if the shoe fits...Now, let's just hope they respond to his criticism and have a better showing tomorrow night.
