Good to see that JaVale McGee is already using his NBA offseason wisely. Yesterday, he put up the following tweet to let the world know that he bought two pet platypuses:

Then, he woke up today and reported that his pet platypuses had poisoned him:
Uh ok didn't know that Peter an Paul ( my pet platypus') were poisonous..... If ur hand turns Barney purple that's not good right?

Then, he waited about two minutes after the post about the poisoning and revealed that—gasp—the whole thing was just a clever hoax:
