Just because the Toyota Prius C has good fuel economy and will last a long time doesn't mean that Consumer Reports is slapping its seal on it.

“Its harsh ride, noisy engine and cabin, and slow acceleration make it feel more like an econobox than a sophisticated hybrid,” Consumer Reports said on its site.

Considering the C, Toyota's cheapest hybrid, starts at $18,950, we don't think anybody is expecting luxury or sophistication, but it's never good when your car is refused a recommendation.
