Brett Favre Will Have His Number Retired By the Packers Within the Next Year or Two

Assuming, of course, he doesn't have another comeback up his sleeve.

Can we just say that it has been a long time since we've uttered the words "Brett Favre" on Complex.com? Thanks to Tim Tebow, Favre has all but disappeared off our radars over the course of the last six months. But, he's back in the news today because it sounds like the Green Bay Packers are finally ready to retire his number. Despite the fact that Favre and the Pack didn't exactly end things on the best terms a few years ago, Green Bay President Mark Murphy says that the team is already planning to ask Favre if he'd like to have his number retired "in a year or two, when it is meaningful to [him]."

That being said, did we miss the memo where Favre officially retired from the NFL? No, right? As in, it wouldn't be out of the question for him to play in the league again next season? Mmkay. Just making sure. Now, back to Tebow…
