Did you click on this story expecting to see Michael Phelps on the June 2012 cover of Vogue? Sooooooorry. It ain't him. Instead, Anna Wintour gave the thumbs up to Ryan Lochte—a six-time Olympic medal-winning swimmer and the 2011 World Swimmer of the Year—to appear on the cover of Vogue with Hope Solo and Serena Williams. That makes Lochte just the fourth man to ever appear on the cover of Vogue. He joins a list that includes Richard Gere (November 1992), George Clooney (June 2000), and, of course, LeBron James, who caused quite a bit of commotion back in April 2008 when he appeared on the cover of Vogue with Gisele Bundchen.

Check out Locht's covers above as well as the three other Vogue covers featuring men. Lucky bastards!
