If your kids aren't designing apps, then they just really aren't doing much with themselves at this point.

Every cyclist sometimes gets the urge to just get on their bike and "go." The problem with just getting up and going is that it can mean ending up taking a much longer ride then you'd set out to.

High School sophomore Mike Feffer designed the Route Maker app as a solution to this very problem. A means take pointed yet aimless rides, Route Maker allows users to simply swipe their finger across a map and get a read of how long the distance covered will take to ride.

If the idea of a "pointed yet aimless" ride sounds like it doesn't make sense, then it's probably because you just don't bike very often and probably need to get out more. The Route Maker app is also designed for you.
