I was always under the impression that everyone except me and the people of Raleigh, N.C. hatedDuke. I made the mistake of wearing a Blue Devils fitted to a bar in Hoboken, N.J. on the night that Duke played Lehigh in the first-round of the 2012 NCAA Tournament and—holy shit!—I'm honestly surprised I made it outta that place alive. At one point, I thought I'd mistakenly stumbled into a Lehigh alumni bar or something.
As it turns out, though, not everyone out there hates Duke basketball. In fact, according to a recent poll done by Cosmopolitan, it sounds like there are a large number of chicks who actually love Duke players. Of the 30 guys who were put on Cosmo's list of "The Hottest Guys of the NBA," four played college ball at Duke and three of those four landed in the top three. Even more surprising? The No. 1 overall choice by Cosmo readers was—are you ready for this?—J.J. Redick.
Yep, that's right. The guy who would probably be voted "The Biggest Douche in the NBA" if dudes were given a vote is also the guy who all the ladies apparently love. Who woulda thought? Definitely not me.
