Last night the San Jose Sharks faced the L.A. Kings in a hell of a game, winning 6-5 in a shootout. But that was overshadowed by the devious ways of one, Ryane Clowe. The Kings were on a odd-man rush led by forward Jarret Stoll when Clowe decided to level the playing field and played the puck from the comfort of the bench. All four officials missed the call and the Sharks weren't penalized for it. That's all fine and dandy, except that illegal poke check could end up costing the Kings the Pacific division (L.A. and San Jose are tied at 94 points with one game remaining).

The NHL won't fine or suspend Clowe. The Kings have an opportunity to avenge the controversial loss when they face the Sharks in the season finale tomorrow night. Puck don't lie? We'll see.
