What it is: A real driver's car at an aspirational price, not an unattainable one
Complex Says: Porsche very nearly shot itself in the proverbial foot with this one. By making a mid-engined sports car, the engineers in Stuttgart created the world's biggest arguement against the 911. Why spend all that money on a 911 that is obstinately clinging to the vastly inferior rear-engined layout when the mid-engined Cayman is sitting there, posting comparable track times, and costing tens of thousands of dollars less?
That said, it is a brilliant little car that really is designed for people who like to drive. It's very easy to love.
