While Scion's brand image is very youth-centric, its place within Toyota's corporate structure is a bit more interesting; Scion is the brand that hosts experimental products. 

As such, the xB and xD have run their courses. Now new products that are pushing the boundaries of the market, like the iQ and the FR-S are leading the way. There are no plans for direct xB or xD replacements.

No doubt Scion will have something to take on the exploding compact segment, however.
